Depression, Anxiety, Post-Traumatic Stress (PTSD), or Other Symptoms Affecting Your Life? Unsure about what to do?

Our Outpatient Clinic May Be the Answer

ClinicWe provide telephone response 8:00 am to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, Fridays till 4:00 p.m. to any requests or referrals for outpatient evaluation and treatment. Non-urgent appointments are generally available within one week of a request. Treatment begins with a comprehensive evaluation that includes a careful assessment of the individual's presenting problem. Treatment modalities include individual, couples, family, and group therapy, and medication evaluation and management. All services are available to teens and adults.

Crisis Intervention
For urgent outpatient requests, staff can prioritize a patient and make every attempt to have the patient seen within 24 hours (except weekends) for psychiatric evaluation, crisis stabilization, and urgent medication treatment. These services may also include short-term therapy, case management, and referrals for any other services determined to be in the person’s best interests.

Psychiatry Service and Medication Management
A staff psychiatrist conducts evaluations, designs treatment plans, including medication therapy, and provides periodic review of all treatments and medication.

Counseling for Families, Couples, and Individuals
Our counseling and psychotherapeutic services provide access to affordable, long-term therapy to the communities in Southern Maryland, including families and couples seeking help for relational problems.

Adult Therapy Groups
Groups dealing with relationship problems, men's issues, and art therapy are ongoing. Other groups are more informational, discussing medication issues and mental illness awareness. Therapy groups cover topics such as Anger Management and Stress Management. New groups may also be initiated from time to time to respond to the needs of our growing community.

Services for “Co-occurring” Disorders
These services provide treatment in an outpatient setting for persons who abuse substances and also have a mental illness.

Services to Those with a Persistent Mental Illness
We are dedicated to serving persons with a serious and persistent mental illness in the community. The programming is integrated with our Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program to support the individual not just clinically, but with mobile visits to the home, work site, or anywhere else of preference to the client. Housing and job placement are available as well. The goal of this effort is recovery.
