Staff engagement is based on a non-judgmental relationship with the person in treatment that promotes self-direction when defining and realizing goals. Treatment plans are developed using an individual’s expressions of need as the guiding foundation of the helping relationship. Staff then assists with an inter-disciplinary effort in actualizing the plan to unlock personal potential in measurable terms. As treatment progresses, staff periodically assesses, along with the consumer, treatment effectiveness and whether changes are needed in the plan. This provides a treatment structure that respects the individual’s priorities and keeps everyone focused on how to meet them.
